Celebrating ChaCha and Bella on Día de Muertos

Today I want to share two faces that mean a lot to our family: ChaCha and Bella, also known as Miss Dale.

You may recognize ChaCha as the dog behind 's mascot. Bella is the white dog in these pictures. These are the pictures we chose for their place on our family's ofrenda.

We lost ChaCha on March 3 of this year. Bella passed away a few years ago. We miss them both, and today, on Día de Muertos de las Mascotas, we're making time to celebrate their lives and the companionship they gave us.

My wife made this ofrenda at home. ChaCha and Bella's pictures sit together in white frames, surrounded by flowers and candlelight. There's something lovely about making a place for both of them and spending a little time with their memories.

Having ChaCha as 's mascot keeps her close to something I put so much of myself into. Today, I wanted to make a little room here for Bella, too. They both have a place in our family, and they both belong in this remembrance.

If you're remembering an animal you loved today, you're welcome to share their name or a favorite memory on our social posts. I'd love to hear about the companions who have been part of your life, too.

For ChaCha and Bella, with love. 🧡
