RARE DATA / Company policy

Our policy on AI use

The tools we choose, the work we stand behind, and the information our customers can expect.

Effective October 15, 2026

Rare Data AI policy graphic with the official logo, red signal paths and the words Our tools. Our responsibility.

RARE DATA is an independent music technology company run by one person. We use AI as a tool wherever it helps us develop useful products, solve problems, support customers, and operate the business.

Our tools and our responsibility

RARE DATA chooses its own tools and methods. AI may assist with development, research, design, writing, testing, and other work. The founder remains responsible for product decisions, releases, and customer support. Using AI does not lower the standard we owe our customers or transfer responsibility to a tool provider.

Private business methods

We do not publish a task-by-task account of AI use, lists of models and vendors, prompts, internal workflows, or percentages of generated and manually written work. These are private business methods. Any additional explanation we choose to share is voluntary, except where disclosure is required by applicable law, platform rules, licenses, or agreements.

This policy states our position openly. We do not make blanket claims that our work is produced without AI.

Information customers need

Customers deserve accurate information about what a product does, its compatibility, known limitations, price, and handling of their data. Those details belong in our product documentation, privacy information, and support.

AI used during development and AI features inside a product are separate questions. The fact that AI helped build software does not, by itself, tell you whether that software sends your files to an external service. Product-specific information must explain the relevant behavior.

Licensing and commercial work

We respect the licenses and obligations attached to software and other materials we use, including required notices and attribution. AI assistance does not replace those obligations.

RARE DATA offers both free and paid work. We choose which of our projects to release openly, subject to applicable licensing requirements. Using AI does not change our position that people can charge fairly for the products they develop, maintain, and support.

Feedback and support

We welcome specific questions, bug reports, and criticism of how our products work. We address those on their substance. We do not offer audits of private development methods as part of product support.

Professional consultation

Consulting on AI-assisted workflows and independent product development starts at $500 USD per hour, with scope and availability agreed in advance. A consultation covers the work agreed for that engagement; it does not provide unrestricted access to internal materials.

Ordinary product support remains available through support@getquota.app and does not require a consulting engagement.
