Hi, I'm Mac Digi.

I'm a music producer who's been doing this for over 20 years. Originally from Dayton, Ohio — based in Southern California ever since the Navy stationed me in San Diego, which is where the music-making journey really kicked off.

Back then I was playing live beat performances on the SP-404, SP-555, and APC-40, chasing new ways to blend electronic gear with hip-hop. That hasn't really stopped.

These days I put music out under a few different names:

LoFi Charlie's HEATWAVE series is five volumes deep with more on the way. New Mac Digi, FRANKDENADA, E-BIKE MOB, and WE LIVE, YOU SLEEP records are all in motion, and Rare Data Radio is coming in to tie everything together.

Alongside the music, I create software and hardware. I'm continuously working on new projects to make the music-making process more fun and intuitive — that's where Compa and Quota come from.
